Japanese Reactionaries' Moves for Overseas Expansion Flayed
Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- The "Consultative Council for Security and Defense Capability" known to be a "military think tank" representing the militaristic forces in Japan in its report called for a change in the interpretation of the "Constitution" to enable the "Self-Defense Forces (SDF)" to use weapons and the reexamination of the "three principles of arms export."

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

Through the reexamination of the principles the Japanese reactionaries seek to drastically revise the principles and tighten the military cooperation with other aggressor forces in a bid to create conditions and environment favorable for overseas military expansion.

In a word, their moves to reexamine the above-said principles and legalize the SDF's use of weapons are aimed at turning Japan into a military giant and rounding off the preparations for reinvasion.

What should not be overlooked is the fact that the Japanese reactionaries are pushing forward these moves with main emphasis on coping with a "contingency" on the Korean Peninsula.

It is open secret that they are keen to realize their scenario for staging a comeback to Korea through preemptive attack after singling out the DPRK as the primary target of their overseas aggression. They are set to launch Asian reinvasion with a preemptive attack on the DPRK as a momentum.

But it is a pipe dream of the Japanese reactionaries to realize their ambition for reinvasion by force of arms. It is as foolish an act as inviting misfortune.

Japan would be well advised to face up to the reality and stop its rash acts.
