Puppet Authorities' Unreasonable Repressive Action Denounced
Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet authorities sent a notice to the Democratic Labor Party informing it they would not allow a meeting commemorating the August 15 liberation day to be sponsored by it under the pretexts that its venue is the main avenue of the city and the DLP has records of organizing "illegal meetings".

In this connection, a spokesman for the DLP on Aug.10 termed the action taken by the authorities a rash action to deliberately obstruct and suppress the legitimate activities of political parties.

To disallow the above-said meeting after branding it as "an illegal violent meeting" is an obviously politically motivated suppression as it betrays their ulterior intention to put down the anti-"government" struggle, he stated.

The recent action taken by the Lee regime to block an event commemorating the August 15 liberation day and praying for reunification is little short of negating the history of the nation, he noted, urging the authorities to retract their unreasonable action at once.
