Struggle for Workers' Right Declared in S. Korea
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions released a statement on August 6 at which it said that the struggle to win the right of workers would go on.

The statement held that the outbreak of the Ssangyong Motor Co. crisis and its deterioration are attributable to the wrong behavior of the authorities and the business side that shifted the blame for the economic crisis and failure of management onto the workers to dismiss them and were engrossed in a scheme to destroy the trade union while refusing to accept it as a dialogue partner.

The Lee Myung Bak group committed such worst inhuman suppression as cutting off the supply of even drinking water, food and medicines to workers of the Ssangyong motor plant in the strike and, in the long run, conducted a murderous operation to quell the strike, it noted, adding: such crime can never be pardoned.

It declared that the confederation would fight against the Lee Myung Bak regime's unpopular policy and its moves to destroy the labor movement to the last.
