Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on Aug. 3 in denunciation of the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises projected by the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet clique.
Saying that the projected exercises are utterly provocative and they are war exercises aimed to destabilize the situation of the Korean Peninsula, the statement scathingly condemned this serious provocation.
The danger of the exercises lies in the fact that they are to be staged when the confrontation between the U.S. and the DPRK is getting more acute due to the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet clique's active participation in implementation of the UNSC's "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK, the statement pointed out.
The forthcoming exercises aimed at stifling Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses will never frighten the Korean people, it said, calling upon the progressive people of the world desirous of independence to turn out in the struggle for strengthening solidarity with the Korean people.
