Day of Victory in Fatherland Liberation War Observed
Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Seminars were held in Pakistan and Colombia on July 25 and 26 on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Speeches were made there.

Ferojudin, advisor for the chief minister of the Sind State Government of Pakistan, said that the Korean people's victory in the war was entirely attributable to the distinguished leadership art and great Juche-based tactics of President Kim Il Sung.

Akrak Aktar Hamidi, chairman of the Pakistan Association for Self-Reliance Studies, said that the Korean people's victory in the war marked the beginning of the decline of the U.S. imperialists, thus inspiring the progressive people in their struggle to build an independent new world.

Jairo Gonzalez Trujillo, president of the "Kanggye" Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Colombia, recalled that Kim Il Sung brought about the victory in the war thanks to the political and ideological advantages of the Korean People's Army and people based on his original military idea.

Meanwhile, photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Laos and Guinea and film shows in Uganda, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia and Ethiopia between July 21 and 26 on the same occasion.

Displayed in the venues of the photo exhibitions were photos on successes achieved by the army and people of the DPRK in the struggle to build socialism and achieve national reunification under the Songun revolutionary leadership of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Participations of the film shows watched Korean films including "Reply of Korea" and "Arms of Korea."
