The Socialist Party-Ample Front of Ecuador and the Canar Provincial Institute for the Friendship and Solidarity with DPRK of Ecuador in a joint statement on July 22 recalled that brisk preparations are now under way worldwide to commemorate the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and the preparatory committee of Philippines called for significantly commemorating this day internationally.

It called upon the provinces of Ecuador to form their preparatory committees and organize colorful events to highly praise the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung who turned the DPRK into a powerful socialist nation and his immortal feats and briskly conduct a solidarity movement in support of the Korean people's struggle.

The Guaranda City Institute of Ecuador for Friendship, Culture and Solidarity with the Korean People in a statement on July 16 noted it is a duty of the progressive people to pay tribute to the commanders of Mt. Paektu of Korea who developed the DPRK into a fortress of socialism and beacon of hope. It declared the institute would help its citizens always remember the immortal feats the President performed for humankind and organize colorful events to this end.
