Replacement of AA by Peace Accord Called for
Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association Headquartered in Spain issued a statement on July 21 in demand of the replacement of the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) with a peace accord.

The statement held that the AA concluded in 1953 should be replaced by a lasting peace accord, which should call for the complete withdrawal of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces from south Korea and the reunification of Korea, divided for more than half a century.

Ceaseless provocations of the U.S. imperialists have further increased the danger of war or military conflict and reduced the AA to a dead paper, the statement noted, accusing them of having wantonly violated the AA and the resolution of the 30th UN General Assembly.

The statement urged the U.S. imperialists to disorganize the hypocritical "UN Command" in south Korea and the UNSC to retract its "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK.
