Present there were representatives from organizations for peace against war of 17 countries including Cuba, Vietnam, Syria, Nepal, the United States and Mexico.

The final declaration and resolutions on agenda items adopted at the congress denounced the U.S. hypocrisy expressed in blocking nuclear programs of developing countries for peaceful purposes, while keeping its huge stockpile of nuclear weapons. They also assailed the U.S. for posing a threat to the DPRK.

A resolution on solidarity with the DPRK supported the Korean people's struggle for national reunification and demanded the immediate and complete withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea.

It supported the measures taken by the DPRK to bolster up its defense capability to cope with the threat of foreign aggression and congratulated it on the 56th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
