"Government" Urged to Settle Japan's Past
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- The Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers' Corps of south Korea in a statement on July 24 called on the puppet authorities to positively approach the issue of Japan's redemption of its past.

The statement recalled that recently various countries including the U.S. and those in Europe have become increasingly vocal demanding Japan settle the issue of "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army.

However, it is only the Lee Myung Bak "government" that is sidestepping the issue, paying no heed to the victims' urgent call, the statement charged.

It held that many organizations of various circles have worked hard for the solution to the issue, but the Lee group of traitors is kowtowing to Japan after discarding human rights and national self-esteem under the spurious signboard of "economic recovery".

It urged the Lee "government" to meet the demand of the victims and make all efforts to have the "comfort women" issue settled, far from reading Japan's face and sidestepping the issue.
