The statement contended that it is a legitimate independent right of the DPRK to defend the sovereignty of the country from the U.S. military threat getting ever more undisguised with each passing day.

Demanding that the U.S. withdraw all its aggression armed forces from south Korea and drop its hostile policy towards the DPRK at once, it said:

We call upon the progressive people standing against the imperialists' aggression moves to vigorously turn out in the struggle for defending peace in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world.

We fully support the heroic Korean people's just cause, being firmly convinced that under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il they will achieve signal successes in their efforts for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, undaunted by the moves of the U.S. imperialists and the hostile forces to provoke another war.
