Removal of Obstacles to Reunification Called for
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- No significant progress can be expected in the south Korean people's patriotic activities for reunification, the inter-Korean relations and the movement for national reunification unless the fascist "National Security Law (NSL)" is repealed and the policy for confrontation with fellow countrymen rolled back in south Korea.

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes this in a signed article.

The successive dictators in south Korea have invoked the NSL as a lever for staying in power and a means for confrontation with fellow countrymen, the article notes, and goes on: The anti-reunification moves of traitor Lee Myung Bak far surpass the successive dictators in their vicious and persistent nature.

The Lee Myung Bak group revived the theory of "principal enemy" which proved bankrupt due to the trend of the June 15 era of reunification and gagged the media persons desirous of democracy and reunification.

The fascist clique mobilized the police and prosecution to quell the south Korean people's desire to achieve reunification through an alliance with the north. Not content with this, it is hurling even agents of "the Intelligence Service" into the operations to crack down upon the movements for reunification just as the successive dictators did.

The anti-reunification acts of traitor Lee Myung Bak find a vivid manifestation in the fact that he is getting more frantic in the racket for inter-Korean confrontation in league with foreign forces.

The Lee group unhesitatingly seeks to bring the war disaster to the fellow countrymen desirous of peace and reunification while escalating the military confrontation and tension on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme phase in a bid to hamstring any effort to improve the inter-Korean relations and accomplish the cause of national reunification and realize its wild ambition to invade the north at any cost. This is the criminal scenario of the group.

With nothing can the group of traitors redeem the crimes it has perpetrated to block reunification and stifle the fellow countrymen, pursuant to the NSL and the policy for confrontation with compatriots.
