Kim Il Sung's Feats Remembered in Different Countries
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings were held in Mexico, Italy, Brazil, Switzerland and Austria between July 3 and 8 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

Displayed at the venues of the events were celebrated works of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, photos on the immortal exploits of three commanders of Mt. Paektu and books and photos on the Korean people advancing under the banner of Songun.

Speeches were made at the meetings.

Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, coordinator (leader) of the National Coordinating Committee of the Workers' Party of Mexico, noted that Kim Il Sung wisely led the Korean revolution and the world revolution, holding high the banner of the Juche idea and the Songun idea all his life. He is always alive in the hearts of the world's progressive people for the immortal exploits he performed in accomplishing the human cause of independence, the speaker stressed.

Mauro Cazadio, general secretary of the Struggle for the Peace and Socialism of Italy, said that
Kim Il Sung embarked on the road of revolution in his teens to liberate the country occupied by the Japanese imperialists and built a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, in Korea.

Jose Gil de Almeida, president of the Brazilian Committee of Solidarity with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, said that whenever looking up to the image of smiling Kim Il Sung they can not repress reverence for the people's leader who devoted all his life to the people.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, noted that Kim Jong Il successfully realized the cause of perpetuating the memory of the President and turned the DPRK into a political and ideological and military power and is wisely leading the Korean people's cause of national reunification.

Messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings in Switzerland and Austria.
