Displayed in the venues were famous works of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and photos on their immortal feats and books and photos on the advantages of the socialist system in the DPRK.

Present at the meetings were figures of the National Congress Party of India, the Communist Party of India(Marxist), the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il, the Indian Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung, the All India Indo－Korean Friendship Association, the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India, a local autonomy committee of India, companies of India, the International Institute of the Juche Idea and the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea and masses.

Speeches were made at the meetings.

P. Shiv Shankar, chairman of the All India Indo－Korean Friendship Association, and other speakers highly praised Kim Il Sung as a prominent thinker and theoretician who founded the immortal Juche idea, indicating the way to be followed by progressive humankind, an iron-willed brilliant commander who defeated the U.S. and Japanese imperialists in one generation and a great leader who established in the DPRK a socialist system centered on the popular masses independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

Thanks to the solid foundation laid by the President the Korean people could bring about a turning point in building a thriving nation and successfully launched a satellite and conducted a nuclear test shortly ago, demonstrating the national power, they noted.

Pointing out that the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by the President has been successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Il, they stressed that the Korean people are convinced that they are sure to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung, under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

A message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the remembrance meeting in a club of India.
