Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Figures of civic and public organizations and representatives of opposition parties including the Democratic Labor Party held a meeting on July 14 to denounce the "Grand National Party" for working hard to railroad the evil bill aimed at putting the media under its control through the "National Assembly", according to MBC of south Korea.
If the GNP and the NA speaker opt for ramming the bill through the NA defying the protest of people from all walks of life, they will face the strong resistance of the people, they warned.
In another development, spokesmen for the opposition parties in their joint statement demanded an immediate retraction of the GNP-introduced "draft amendment to a law on broadcasting services" which allows the conservative newspapers and big businesses to put the broadcasting services under their control.
