Wrong Agricultural Policy Rejected in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- More than 5,000 peasants under the Federation of Peasants Associations and university students in south Korea held in Seoul on June 29 a rally for checking the conclusion of south Korea-U.S. FTA, frustrating the "advanced agriculture" and punishing the Lee Myung Bak "government."

Speakers at the rally noted that the "government" is hoodwinking the public by creating an impression that any problem will be settled when the south Korea-U.S. FTA is concluded.

They said that the authorities vociferated about the "advanced agriculture," but this is the agriculture-killing policy as it is driving the agriculture of south Korea into world market competition.

They declared that 3.5 million peasants would vigorously turn out in the struggle to frustrate the authorities' scheme for spoiling the agriculture and stamping out democratization and punish the dictatorial regime.
