Korean Exhibitions Held Abroad
Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions were held in Russia and Nigeria and by the Secretariat of the Pan-African Movement between June 15 and 23 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

On display at the exhibition halls were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and photos showing their undying feats, books and photos introducing the Korean people in the efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation and handicraft works associated with the Korean nation's wisdom and talents.

Speeches were made at the ceremonies of opening the exhibitions.

Sorokin, deputy mayor of Klin in Moscow Region of Russia, noted that the DPRK demonstrated its tremendous national strength by successfully launching satellite Kwangmyongsong-2. This is a result of the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il leading Korean-style socialism to victory with matchless courage, he said.

The curator of the exhibition of the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria praised Kim Jong Il as a statesman most prominent in ideology, leadership and personality. Under his distinguished guidance the Korean people have achieved brilliant victories, braving all hardships and difficulties and the DPRK is demonstrating its might to the whole world, he added.
