Puppet Police's Massacres during Korean War Disclosed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Kim Mun Gil, professor at Pusan University of Foreign Studies, on June 25 laid bare the killings of at least 120 civilians perpetrated by the puppet police in the area of Yongchon, North Kyongsang Province, during the Korean War, according to Yonhap News of south Korea.

He noted that in those days the police indiscriminately arrested innocent inhabitants under the pretext of ferreting out members of the Workers' Party of south Korea in Hwabuk-myon, Rimgo-myon, Jayang-myon and other places of Yongchon County and took them to Ryanghang-ri, Rimgo-myon, and shot them to death.

Inhabitants in the surrounding area also testified to this massacre, he stressed.

He demanded the authorities concerned start unearthing their remains at an early date, properly probe the truth and give vent to the grudge of the victims.
