Youth and Children Tour Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt. Paektu
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Youth and children from across the country made a study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu.

They laid floral baskets and flowers before the statues of President Kim Il Sung standing in the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site, on the shore of Lake Samji, at the Monument to Victory in Battles in Musan Area and in the Chongbong Bivouac and before the mosaic depicting the three generals of Mt. Paektu erected in the Secret Camp of Mt. Paektu and paid tribute to them in humble reverence.

They visited the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site and the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site.

When they arrived at the Monument to Victory in Battles in Musan Area, they looked round the large group of sculptures in relievo of subsidiary theme with the bronze sculpture in relievo of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese heroine, the tower of a rifle, etc.

They visited the Secret Camp of Mt. Paektu and went round historic relics, being briefed before the birthplace of General Secretary Kim Jong Il on the fact that he was born in a simple log cabin and grew to be a great revolutionary.

They also made a study tour of the Sinsadong Revolutionary Battle Site, the Mupho, Chongbong, Konchang and Pegaebong bivouacs, etc.

During the study tour, they had diverse political and cultural events including a meeting to hear impressions given after reading reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas.
