UNSC "Resolution on Sanctions" Rejected
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- The National Social Federation "for the Union and Union's Communist Party" of Belarus released a statement on June 17 in protest against the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK adopted by the United Nations Security Council at the instigation of the U.S. over the DPRK's second nuclear test.

The statement noted that the adoption of the "resolution on sanctions" by the UNSC evidently proved that it is no more than a tool of the U.S., the statement said, resolutely rejecting the "resolution" which is contrary to the interests of the world peace-loving people.

It further said:

The DPRK has the right to protect itself and there is no authority for any country or even the UN to interfere in its internal affairs. Since the nuclear-weapons states refuse to dismantle their nukes while brandishing their nuclear sticks, it is natural for sovereign states to have access to the nuclear deterrent so as to cope with such behavior.

The statement expressed full support for the DPRK Foreign Ministry statement which declared that the DPRK would weaponize the whole amount of newly extracted plutonium and start the uranium enrichment and counter with resolute military action any attempted blockade by the U.S. and its followers, regarding it as an action of war.

It called upon the world peace-loving people to extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in the struggle to defend their socialist system.

On the same day, Vishwanath, director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, issued a statement censuring the "resolution".
