South Korean Puppets' Reckless War Outbursts Assailed

Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- Brass hats of the south Korean puppet military including the "chief of the general staff of the navy," attending an event "commemorating the anniversary of the West Sea incident" on June 15, let loose a spate of bellicose remarks such as "annihilation" and the "third West Sea skirmish" and "frustration of provocations on the spot."

Earlier, the puppet minister of National Defence of south Korea at a "meeting of ministers in charge of diplomacy and security" let loose a whole string of reckless remarks inciting confrontation with the DPRK, crying out for a "resolute counter-action."

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes this in a signed commentary.

It goes on:

These provocative remarks of the puppets reminding one of the eve of a war are nothing but deliberate moves to strain the situation in a bid to spark off the third armed conflict in the West Sea.

The "Northern Limit Line" unilaterally marked by the U.S. in the West Sea right after the ceasefire is an illegal ghost-like line. There exists in the waters of the West Sea the extension of the Military Demarcation Line in the West Sea fixed and proclaimed by the DPRK in accordance with the norms of international law and as required by the reality in which the north and the U.S. are standing in military confrontation.

This being a hard reality, the puppets are coiling up the tension to an extreme phase, persistently insisting they would stick to the "Northern Limit Line" to the last though it is a source of clashes. This is a very dangerous reckless act to spark off a military conflict there and use it as a pretext for starting a war against the DPRK.

The U.S. and the south Korean bellicose forces made the Armistice Agreement toothless, depriving the Korean Peninsula of any legal and institutional mechanism for controlling military conflicts between the two sides. Worse still, the situation in the West Sea is so tense that even the slightest incident may trigger off a clash.

It is the height of the folly for the group of traitors to go reckless in its moves to spark off the third West Sea armed conflict, letting loose a spate of reckless provocative remarks against the DPRK.

Should the south Korean puppets finally launch a war of aggression against the DPRK in collusion with the U.S. imperialists, they will not be able to escape the fate of forlorn wandering spirits in face of deadly retaliatory blows of the Korean People's Army.
