Puppet Prosecution's Violation of Democracy Flailed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- Law professors of universities in south Korea called a press conference in Seoul on June 19 protesting against the puppet prosecution's violation of democracy.

At the press conference professors condemned the prosecution for stamping out democracy while encroaching upon the freedom of expression and resorting to unreasonable investigation.

They charged that the prosecution keen to patronize the dictatorial "government" is openly threatening the people opposing the Lee Myung Bak "government's" unpopular rule and trying to block the growth of their forces.

Articles of Internet users, reports by "PDs", etc. which assailed the unjust economic policy of the authorities have become a target of the prosecution's investigation because these expressions evoked great repercussions from the popular masses and, accordingly, they were regarded as a threat to Lee Myung Bak's maintenance of dictatorial regime, they pointed out.

They said that law professors across south Korea have turned out in actions as they could no longer overlook the reality in which freedom of expression is being ruthlessly violated.

They demanded that the prosecution cancel the indictment against those makers of "PDs", stop the investigation into the struggle against conservative media and open to the public the records of investigation into the tragic case in Ryongsan.
