Displayed in the venues of the events were photos showing the feats of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and photos introducing the Korean people in their struggle for the country's reunification.

Speeches were made at the events.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, said that Kim Jong Il opened up the bright avenue for the reunification by providing the June 15 joint declaration, the cornerstone of developing the inter-Korean relations and the great programme for the country's reunification, and the October 4 declaration, its practical programme.

Daniel Dediu, chairman of the Romanian Workers' Association, said that the inter-Korean relations which had developed on good terms have faced the worst crisis and the situation on the Korean Peninsula is aggravating. He extended support to the Korean people's struggle for the country's reunification and the global independence.

Ch. Surenjav, chairman of the Mongolia-Korea Friendship Society, stressed that the Korean people would certainly realize the cause of independent reunification under the leadership of Kim Jong Il despite the separatist forces' evermore undisguised moves against the country's reunification.

Vele Mukelenge, chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of University of Kinshasa, exposed and denounced traitor Lee Myung Bak for his anti-DPRK and anti-reunification moves.

The participants in the film show saw introductory documentary "Arms of the DPRK".

Meanwhile, the secretary of the Association of Advocates of African Unity in Libya, and Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, separately issued statements on June 11 and 12 on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration.
