Present there were leading officials of local party and power organs and working people's organizations, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, people from all walks of life and youth and students.

Speakers vehemently denounced the UNSC for cooking up the said resolution critical of the DPRK on June 12 at the instigation of the U.S. imperialists over its second nuclear test in the name of all the servicepersons of the KPA and people of the DPRK.

They branded the UNSC's fabrication of the "presidential statement" critical of the DPRK's launch of a satellite for peaceful purposes and its adoption of the above-mentioned "resolution" as illegal brigandish hostile acts of the U.S. and its followers to isolate and stifle the DPRK.

The nuclear test conducted by the DPRK is an entirely just and great action to defend the dignity of the country and sovereignty of the nation and ensure peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world, they said, adding;

All the servicepersons and people of the DPRK will fight against the U.S. imperialists and their followers to the bitter end and the enemies' tightened "sanctions" and "blockade" would only embolden them to wage a more courageous struggle in defence of the sovereignty of the country.

The speakers underlined the need to bring about a new surge in the building of a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation under the Songun revolutionary leadership of the WPK and resolutely smash the reckless moves of the U.S. imperialists and their followers to isolate and stifle the DPRK.
