Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a signed commentary dismisses this as another serious anti-DPRK provocation perpetrated by the wicked sycophants and traitors and war maniacs to harass peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and isolate and stifle fellow countrymen in conspiracy with outsiders.

A main aim sought by the U.S. in prodding the UNSC into adopting the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK is to suffocate the economy of the DPRK and stamp out its ideology and bring down its system chosen by its people. The Lee group has rolled up its sleeves to launch the criminal international offensive of pressure in a bid to do harm to the DPRK. Herein lies the gravity of the situation.

The DPRK regards national dignity and sovereignty as its life and soul. It is the unshakable mode of counteraction for it to take the toughest measures against the challenges of the hostile forces without making the slightest concession.

The Lee group had better behave with discretion, well aware of what do the "sanctions" mean. The implementation of "sanctions" precisely means a war. If the group dares try to encroach upon the sovereignty of the DPRK under the signboard of implementing the "resolution on sanctions", the DPRK will deal merciless and just retaliatory blows at the provocateurs and wipe them out to the last man to achieve the historic cause of national reunification as already clarified by it.
