Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on June 13 denouncing the UN Security Council for adopting a "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK at the instigation of the United States.
The statement termed the resolution an unpardonable provocation to the DPRK, a legitimate sovereign state and a member state of the UN.
Noting that the UNSC's adoption of the resolution was aimed to disarm the DPRK and suffocate its economy in a bid to stamp out its ideology and bring down its system, the statement accused the U.S. of abusing the UN for conquering the DPRK through sanctions and pressure and turning it into its neo-colony.
The above-said resolution of the UNSC can never work on the DPRK as it has a powerful industry based on the Juche idea and self-reliance, the statement noted, adding that it is only the U.S. imperialists who are destined to suffer a shameful defeat.
The statement called on the friends of the DPRK, the adherents to the Juche idea and Songun idea and world progressive people to extend full support to the Korean people in their confrontation with the U.S. imperialists.
