Civic and public organizations in Kwangju and South Jolla Province including the Kwangju-South Jolla Provincial Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration held a "ceremony of observing the 9th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration."

The participants in a declaration demanded the "government" make a policy switchover to reconciliation and cooperation based on the joint declaration.

The North Chungchong Provincial Headquarters of the above-said committee held a "ceremony and a lecture marking the 9th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration" while the Taegu-North Kyongsang Provincial Headquarters and the Inchon Headquarters separately held press conferences demanding the authorities withdraw the policy of confrontation with the DPRK and implement the June 15 joint declaration.

The North Chungchong Provincial Council of Christian Churches held a meeting to urge the "government" to ensure peace on the Korean Peninsula and diverse non-governmental cooperation and exchange.

The North Jolla Provincial Association of the south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations held a similar event to review the reunification movement conducted after the publication of the joint declaration and urged the authorities to opt for implementing the joint declaration.
