Puppet Authorities' Repressive Action Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The preparatory committee for the "all-people rally for inheriting the June resistance and restoring democracy" in south Korea, which groups civic and public organizations and opposition parties, called a press conference in Seoul on June 9 at which they denounced the puppet authorities' repressive action.

The organization accused the police of disallowing on June 8 the June 10 all-people rally at the plaza of the city office under the unreasonable pretext that the "General Federation for Freedom", a conservative organization, had already made an application for a rally.

Lashing out at the police for having hurled at least 13,000-strong forces of 150 companies to block the roads leading to the plaza and create repressive atmosphere, the organization vowed to hold the said rally braving any suppression.

Members of civic and public organizations and more than 50 lawmakers from the Democratic Party including its representative staged an all-night tent strike at the plaza on the same day in protest against the puppet authorities' suppression.

They demanded the "government" and the police retract the repressive step and ensure the peaceful holding of the June 10 all-people rally.
