Measures Taken against A/H1N1 Virus
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The DPRK is taking thorough measures to prevent A/H1N1 influenza from coming into the country.

The Central Hygienic and Anti-epidemic Center (CHAC) of the Ministry of Public Health informs in time local prevention centers of data on the outbreak of A/H1N1 flu spreading world-wide and thus lets all the health workers and residents pay attention to the influenza.

The center makes the health workers intensify hygienic propaganda activities for informing the residents of the pathogen of A/H1N1 flu, infection course, incubation period, symptoms, prevention measures, outbreak of cases in the world and so on and display a high sense of responsibility for its prevention.

Observation posts have been set up in different parts of the country and a work is being done to grasp the rate of normal seasonal influenza correctly and confirm the scale of influenza types and strain of virus through laboratory tests.

Technical data on the A/H1N1 flu has been already distributed to local hygienic anti-epidemic centers and epidemic prevention officials are engaged in the work for the prevention of the disease in all provinces, cities and counties.

Meanwhile, efforts are directed to raise the role of doctors in polyclinics and ri people's hospitals across the country, who are in charge of residential quarters.

All the doctors who are in charge of households are examining the health of the residents with responsibility.

The CHAC is conducting medical checkup of personnel coming in and out of the country in the border areas, trade ports and airports in contact with the State Administration for Quality Management, Anti-Epizootic Center and other relevant organs so as to prevent A/H1N1 flu from coming into the country.
