World Environment Day Observed
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- All countries should pay attention to the serious problem of climate change in the world and address it by their concerted efforts.

Rodong Sinmun Friday urges this in a signed article devoted to World Environment Day.

It says:

The climate change resulting from the global warming is one of the biggest problems facing all the countries in the world at present.

The reality shows that it is possible to settle the problem only when all the people in the world regard it as a crisis before each of them and roll up their sleeves to weather it.

No country can be an exception as far as the work to protect the global environment is concerned.

It is possible to achieve good success only when all the countries deeply understand the urgency and importance of the work and make positive efforts to carry it out.

Greeting World Environment Day, the DPRK is briskly conducting a variety of work to cope with the climate change and protect environment under the state and social care. It is boosting the international cooperation in this field.

Great progress will be made in this field when all countries in the world unite and make concerted efforts to cope with the climate change and protect the global environment.
