The revolutionary soldier spirit is a noble revolutionary spirit of the KPA the keynote of which is the spirit of devotedly safeguarding the leader, the spirit of devotedly carrying through his orders and the heroic self-sacrificing spirit, the article says, and goes on:

This spirit, first of all, serves as a source of the ideological and moral power which helps the army and people in the DPRK fully display loyalty to the leader.

Hero Kil Yong Jo unhesitatingly chose to blow himself up for the safety of the headquarters of the revolution and heroic soldiers laid down their lives to protect the revolutionary slogans written on the barked trees on Mujae Peak from raging flames. These feats clearly bespeak that the revolutionary soldier spirit of the KPA has turned the whole army into the elite ranks devotedly defending the leader.

The revolutionary soldier spirit serves as precious ideological and moral pabulum which prepares all the people to be fighters for bold offensives who do not know impossibility.

The army and people have paved a wide avenue for building a thriving nation over the past more than decade while defending socialism in the worst adversity under the uplifted banner of Songun.

The revolutionary soldier spirit is just the great spirit which brought about historic miracles to be always recorded in the history of the country.

The above-mentioned spirit serves as ideological and moral pabulum which helps all the people to become revolutionaries in the Songun era possessed of transparent working class consciousness.

There were soldiers of the KPA and workers who courageously struggled against the enemies, remaining true to their constancies as revolutionary soldiers after being adrift in the sea to find themselves in the enemy-held areas, and finally succeeded in coming back to the care of leader Kim Jong Il. Their heroic deeds go to prove that everybody can emerge a victor in the anti-imperialist class struggle when fully equipped with the above-said spirit.
