Traitor Lee Myung Bak's Anti-DPRK Remarks Refuted
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- Lee Myung Bak of south Korea, in his "speech on radio" Monday, viciously slandered the DPRK's nuclear activities for self-defense as "shock" and "threat to peace." And he revealed the wicked intention to zealously cooperate with the U.S. and other foreign forces, while clamoring for "perfect readiness for security."

Rodong Sinmun Friday in a signed commentary denounces such behavior as one more grave provocation to the DPRK and an unpardonable declaration of confrontation with it.

The commentary says:

Lee blindly took issue with the DPRK's measure to bolster up its nuclear deterrent. Such absurd deed can be done only by idiots who do not know the essence of the present situation and by whom the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula have been preserved.

The DPRK's measure for bolstering up the nuclear deterrent is an inevitable result of the anti-DPRK moves escalated by the U.S. with each passing day.

Peace has been kept so far on the Korean Peninsula, the most unstable hotspot in the world. This is attributable to the DPRK which has bolstered up its nuclear deterrent for self-defense to cope with such intensified U.S. war moves of aggression.

Nevertheless, Lee has parroted his master's assertion that the U.S. "nuclear umbrella" is "protecting" south Korea. This is a shameless and reckless action of distorting the reality.

As for the "period of mourning" uttered by him, it was caused by his group itself. The south Korean public unanimously contends that the unexpected and tragic death of the former "president" is murder by Lee Myung Bak's political retaliation.

As long as traitor Lee is allowed to let loose a spate of futile outbursts against the DPRK with his sinister ambition, the prospect of the inter-Korean relations will be getting gloomier and the DPRK's will to get through with the group of traitors will be further hardened. After all, the group will face a disgraceful destruction.
