Puppet Prosecution's Moves to Cover up Killings of Ryongsan Evacuees Flayed
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- Members of the All-People Committee for Measures against the Murder of Evacuees in Ryongsan of south Korea held press conferences outside the prosecution offices in its 16 provinces and cities at the same time on June 2 to denounce the puppet prosecution for its dastardly moves to cover up the killings of evacuees in Ryongsan.

Speakers at the press conferences assailed the prosecution for having failed to properly investigate any case of killings of evacuees in disregard of the people's voices demanding a probe into a lot of doubts about the cases.

They chided the prosecution for justifying the brutal violence perpetrated by police "commandoes" and gangsters of the evacuation teams after being hurled into the scenes of the sit-in strikes of evacuees in Ryongsan and defending the authorities' moves to play down and conceal the truth about the murder.

Accusing the prosecution of refusing to open to the public the records of investigation which contain important clues to the Ryongsan tragedy, they declared they would never tolerate any trial to be held on the basis of distorted results of investigation made by the prosecution.

They demanded the court turn down the prosecution's all records of investigation which falsify the truth about the case and pass a fair judgment on the evacuees.

They held that the public prosecutor general should step down as he is entirely responsible for the tragedy, urging the authorities to make an overall reinvestigation into the tragedy and release the detained evacuees without delay.
