U.S. Talk about Human Rights of Other Countries Snubbed
Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- It is impertinent for the U.S. to deliberately cite "human rights situation" of various countries of the world for wantonly interfering in their internal affairs and this is a revelation of extreme arrogance.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes this in a signed article.

It goes on:

No one granted the U.S. the right to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries under the pretext of human rights issues.

As far as the human rights standard is concerned, there can be no uniform human rights standard suited to all countries of the world and such standard can never exist. It is quite natural that human rights standard may vary from one country to another country and from one people to another people as they are different from one another in ideology, ism, religion and system and the level of economic and cultural development and goals of their struggle.

A human rights standard can be regarded as a fair one when it is liked by the people and it is in line with their interests.

It is a brigandish act for the U.S. to comment on "the human rights records" in other countries as it pleases by applying its own "human rights standard" based on its view on value and take issue with them and interfere in their internal affairs.

Citing facts to prove the human rights abuses perpetrated by the U.S. in Iraq, the article says:

The U.S. has the worst human rights record in the world.

Its trumpeting about "protection of human rights" is nothing but a crafty artifice to justify and shield its acts of aggression, high-handed practices, infringement upon others' sovereignty.

Those countries that refuse to meekly obey the U.S. and maintain an anti-U.S. stance are made without exception targets of the U.S. "human rights" offensive.

The U.S. efforts to realize its wild ambition for dominating the world under the signboard of "protection of human rights" would get it nowhere.

The U.S. had better mind its own business before talking about other countries' "human rights issues."
