Each Day Counts
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il summoned an official on February 16, Juche 71 (1982) and told the latter to accompany him to the reconstruction and expansion site of the Moranbong Stadium (now Kim Il Sung Stadium).

The official was surprised to hear that as he had been anxious the leader should take a rest if but for a day, on the birthday he was meeting amid the deepest blessings of all the people.

As the official was at a loss what to do, he urged him to hurry up as there was no time to lose.

Calming himself with much difficulty, the official said earnestly he should take a rest that day, postponing his going to the reconstruction site to the next day.

He said he could not put off the planned matter, even if he might defer his rest to the next day. He said each day counted as the project had to be completed at any cost by the seventieth birthday of President Kim Il Sung. "We are going to have the President at the Moranbong Stadium after rebuilding it on the highest level," he added.

He said that the President would be greatly rejoiced to see it, that it was the happiest moment when he saw the President pleased.

These were, indeed, meaningful words illustrative of the unshakable will of Kim Jong Il with a great plan to erect more splendidly the Moranbong Stadium associated with the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung and hand it down long in history.
