A spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party, when interviewed at the "National Assembly" on May 26, termed the Lee Myung Bak "government's" full participation in the PSI a dangerous act of bringing dark clouds of war to hang over the Korean Peninsula.

If the Lee "government" truly does not want a military conflict, it should retract the decision to fully participate in the PSI at once, he urged.

A spokesman for the Democratic Party on the same day declared that it has no option but to chide the "government" authorities for its reckless stand of taking an unnecessary step to fully participate in the PSI which has proved ineffective.

The Solidarity for Progress of south Korea released a statement that day denouncing the Lee "government's" official announcement of the full participation in the PSI as a very dangerous act of driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula into a military conflict.

Organizations of the anti-war, peace movement of south Korea including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification held a press conference in front of the puppet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on May 27 at which they condemned the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for sparking off a military conflict between the north and the south through the full participation in the PSI.

A press release read out at the press conference said that the authorities' reckless action is an undisguised declaration of their intention to block the way of improving the inter-Korean relations and persistently pursue the confrontation with fellow countrymen. It demanded an immediate withdrawal of the dangerous full participation of the PSI.
