Hero Sami Secondary School in Haeju City
Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- There are many schools in the DPRK which represent the noble life of heroes who dedicated their youth and lives to the motherland and people.

Among them is the Hero Sami Secondary School, the Twice Honored Red Flag School, in Haeju City, South Hwanghae Province.

The school, alma mater of 13 Heroes of the DPRK and Labour Heroes, bears august footmarks of the peerlessly great men.

President Kim Il Sung visited the school (the then Haeju Senior Middle School) in August, Juche 37 (1948). There he acquainted himself with preparations for a new school year down to details and expounded all the questions arising in school education and training of students.

Abiding by the educational theses, it has built up well-furnished modern laboratories and practice rooms to combine theory with practice while steadily improving educational methods and contents and giving substantial basic technical education, thus bringing up lots of promising personnel.

The school has always been highly appreciated in national school contests. It has produced more than 50 winners of "July 15 Honor Student Prize" and hundreds of awardees of academic degrees or professorship among its graduates.

It is doing its utmost for the improvement of teaching and training of students in order to raise them to be heroes and stout pillars of the Songun era who would render distinguished services for the motherland and people.
