The Research Center for Biodiversity and Eco-Engineering under the State Academy of Sciences plays the pivotal role in the undertaking.

In recent years the center has registered a series of successes in the systematic survey of and research into the animals and plants of the country in the extermination crisis and main migratory birds and the work for protecting and restoring their habitats in different parts of the country.
