Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement Propels Building of Thriving Nation
Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Monumental edifices are springing up one after another across the DPRK and towns, villages, factories and working places are being facelifted as socialist fairyland.

True to the Workers' Party of Korea's call for the 150-day campaign, the working people are registering innovative achievements in production and construction every day.

These achievements are also attributable to the three-revolution red flag movement which has been waged in the country from many years ago.

The movement was initiated by General Secretary Kim Jong Il in Juche 64 (1975). Its torch was raised for the first time by the then Komdok Mine and the Chongsan Co-op Farm respectively in the industrial and agricultural sectors.

The workers of Komdok and agricultural working people of Chongsan-ri called upon all the people of the country to turn out in the movement as one. In response to the call, all the sectors have conducted the movement vigorously.

The past years have witnessed a new revolutionary turn in the ideological and mental life of the people and all fields of economic and cultural construction.

Over the last ten years, more than 8,000 units have been honored with the titles of Thrice Three-Revolution Red Flag, the Twice Three-Revolution Red Flag and the Three-Revolution Red Flag and the number of the winners have shown an increase of 700,000 odd people.

Now the Korean people are advancing vigorously under the slogan "Let us raise higher the flame of the three revolutions and make a great leap forward on all fronts for building a great, prosperous and powerful nation under the banner of Songun!"
