Ex-Prime Minister Abe's Outbursts Flayed
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- Ex-Prime Minister Abe, an icon of Japan's ultra-right conservatives, went off political spasm again.

He recently underscored again the "need" to adjust the legislation for attacking the missile base of the DPRK.

This is nothing but despicable anti-DPRK rhetoric let loose by a militarist maniac almost every day, keen on the hostile moves against the DPRK.

A scrutiny into what Abe uttered and did at different times and on various occasions clearly suggests his true colors as a reactionary of history and the ultra-right element.

Abe styling himself a politician represents the ultra-nationalists who appeared in the Japanese society after the war, reflecting the neo- fascist atmosphere.

His disposition as the dyed-in-the-wool right-wing reactionary element found its vivid manifestation in his stand toward the DPRK.

It was Abe that took the lead in prohibiting the entry of ship Mangyongbong-92 into a Japanese port by invoking the "law banning the port calls of specified ships" over the DPRK's "missile threat." It was again Abe that called on the UN to convene a UNSC meeting for applying sanctions against the DPRK, asserting that "Japan would examine all possible sanctions against it".

During the tenure of his office which lasted not more than a year, Abe upgraded the Defence Agency into the Ministry of Defence, the step no successive prime ministers dared take, and called for adopting "a permanent legislation" and the creation of the "security council," the policy coordinating mechanism.

Abe uttered that "there are no war criminals and there have been none of them in Japan" and "the sentences passed by the Tokyo International Tribunal are illegal and invalid in view of Japan's law." It was again Abe who extremely stirred up the hoisting of "Hinomaru" and singing of "Kimigayo" at schools, supporting visits to "Yasukuni Shrine" and categorically denying the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

The international community is aware of the ulterior intention of Abe, paying attention to the desperate anti-DPRK moves stepped up by him, bereft of reason.

Abe's anti-DPRK diatribe was not prompted by the fear that Japan's security might be endangered when its sky would fall immediately.

He sought to incite bitterness towards Koreans and hostility toward the DPRK among Japanese and improve his clout whenever an opportunity presented itself. It was, therefore, a poor trick to gratify his political ambition to consolidate his political base.

He was pushed to the margin of the society for revealing his vulnerability as the prime minister, besmirching the political landscape but his greed for power remains unchanged.

What should not be overlooked is the political landscape in Japan where such guys as Abe are allowed to ride roughshod.

Such practices of Abe as going busy to bring the past back are painted as "patriotic acts."

The process of turning politics rightist, the society reactionary and conservative is being accelerated as the days go by.

The peace and security of Asia are being jeopardized by those who seek to stem the trend of history.

No future is in store for Japan as its moves for militarization are frantically stepped up by the militarist maniacs.
