Two Big and Small Brick-carrying Frames
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- Anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk visited the building site of Kim Chaek University of Technology (then Pyongyang University of Technology) together with young Kim Jong Il early in one spring morning of Juche 38 (1949).

She went round the building site, conducted by a field official, and told him earnestly that they should meet at an early date the lifelong desire of President Kim Il Sung who wanted to see technicians brought up by the university manufacturing modern machinery, trains and motorcars.

After a while she said: "Let's work in a hurry as lots of people are rendering labor assistance", asking him to bring a brick-carrying frame.

Then, the official told her how she could do such a work as going up and down the steep scaffolds with bricks on her back. She rolled up her sleeves, saying that she managed to find time to work and would feel refreshed by much perspiration.

Young Kim Jong Il also asked him to make a frame.

Surprised by his words, the official said he in his young age could not carry bricks on the back and that he must not do such a work.

She, with a smile, affirmed his words and asked the official to make a small frame for him.

She and young Kim Jong Il, together with constructors, carried bricks on their backs, going up and down the steep scaffolds.

Indeed, the immortal exploits performed by Kim Jong Suk for the prosperity of the country will shine long along with the efforts to build a great, prosperous and powerful nation.
