Korean April 25 Film Studio, Military Film Creation Centre
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The Korean April 25 Film Studio some time ago celebrated the 50th anniversary of its foundation.

The studio (The Korean People's Army February 8 Film Studio at birth), the first military film creation group in the DPRK, has contributed in the past days to bringing up the soldiers and people into stout fighters defending the leader at the cost of their lives.

It has produced lots of films on the themes of the revolutionary tradition and military affairs and war since it released its first dramatic war film "Defenders of Height 1211".

The treasure house of Juche-oriented film art has been enriched by the revolutionary film "Far Away from Headquarters" and other films dealing with the revolutionary history of family members of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu, the feature films "An Unattached Unit", "The Brigade Commander's Former Superior", "Wolmi Island", "Rhododendron" and "Morning Star," the full-length multi-part sequel film "The Nation and Destiny" and a number of other films.

Other films produced by the studio include the feature films "Glow above Distant Mountain", "The Road He Is Walking", "Inheritance" and "Notes of a Woman Soldier" which are beating with the spirit of the Songun era.

The recently produced feature films "A White Gem", "The Great Bear" and "The Lieutenant in Those Days" rendered services for kindling a flame of the literary and art revolution in the Songun era.

It also put on stage several light comedies including "Comrades" and "Chol Pass" loudly singing of the validity and invincibility of Songun politics of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The film studio, a winner of "Order of Kim Il Sung", has been developed into a film creation centre equipped with up-to-dated facilities and produced a good many People's Artists, People's Artistes, Merited Artists and Merited Artistes loved by people.

Today it is bringing about a great upswing in creation in the spirit and mettle with which it rose in a film revolution in the 1970s.
