Indonesian Parliamentary Delegation Feted
Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Supreme People's Assembly hosted a banquet at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Wednesday in honor of the delegation of the Parliament of Indonesia led by Speaker Agung Laksono on a visit to the DPRK.

Present there on invitation were members of the delegation led by Speaker Agung Laksono, the Indonesian ambassador to the DPRK and staff members of the Indonesian embassy here.

Present there were Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly Choe Thae Bok and officials concerned.

Choe Thae Bok said in his speech made there that the Indonesian people have made energetic endeavors to build a stable, peaceful, just and democratic country under the leadership of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Noting that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Indonesia have steadily grown stronger under deep care of the leaders of the two countries, Choe stressed that the DPRK would make positive efforts to boost the relations with Indonesia in different fields including politics, economy and culture.

Referring to the fact that the friendly relations between the two countries were provided by President Sukarno and President Kim Il Sung, Agung Laksono noted that Indonesia was recorded in history as the country which General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited, accompanying Kim Il Sung.

Saying that Indonesia and the DPRK have always supported each other on the principle of territorial integrity and non-interference in each other's internal affairs, he expressed his hope that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would continue to grow strong in different fields in the future, too.
