Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- DPRK players proved successful at the 21st Asian Women's Weightlifting Championship and the 40th Asian Men's Weightlifting Championship.
They bagged one gold medal, eight silver medals and eight bronze medals.
O Jong Ae came first in clean and jerk and placed second in total points in the women's 63kg category weightlifting event while Pak Hyon Suk won three silver medals in the women's 58kg category event and Jong Chun Mi three bronze medals in the same event.
Cha Kum Chol got three silver medals in the men's 62kg category weightlifting contest and Pang Kum Chol a silver medal and two bronze medals in the 77kg category event and Ri Kyong Sok three bronze medals in the 56 kg category contest.
