Lee Myung Bak Regime Urged to Stop Suppression of South Headquarters of Pomminryon
Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- The Buddhist Peace Solidarity of south Korea on May 10 issued a statement in denunciation of the puppet group's suppression of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon).

The statement held that since the emergence of the Lee Myung Bak regime the inter-Korean dialogue and cooperation have been suspended and the south-north relations bedeviled,

It is against this background that the Lee regime is hell bent on the suppression of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon which has worked hard for national reunification, the statement noted, adding that this is an act of denying national cooperation and threatening peace.

It went on:

Lee Myung Bak has never let a chance pass by without uttering he would recover the economy, but it is impossible to recover the economy and achieve peace in this land unless the south-north relations are improved.

The Buddhists, too, desire peace and dialogue between the south and the north and actively turn out in the reunification movement. The Lee regime should stop its suppression of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon under the pretext of security and release those who were arrested.

The statement demanded Lee Myung Bak drop the anti-reunification policy of confrontation and turn out in the actions for the independence and reunification of the nation.
