New Bio-beauty Mask Getting Popular
Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- The bio-beauty mask developed by the Life Science Department of Kim Il Sung University are now popular among the users at home and abroad.

Various kinds of beauty masks had previously been developed for the purpose of preventing the aging of skin cells, but they had many shortcomings.

The new mask is a product of natural materials, which are rich in natural active materials such as α-oxyacid, vitamins and amino acids obtained by bioengineering technology. It is completely free from side effect. And it is much more durable and softer than the existing facial masks made of paper and cloth. A functional product, it begins to prove effective in two or three days after application.

Dr. Han Kyong Ae, an associate professor, who developed it, said:

The bio-beauty mask helps clean the face, prevent aging and add beauty.

Unlike other beauty masks, it is most efficacious in removing pimples. It has overall effects in removing pigmentation such as freckles and black spots, smoothening wrinkles and making the face soft and white.

It prevents old-age spots often seen on the faces of senescent persons and gives whitening effect by promoting specialization and fertility of skin.

Its scope of usage unlimited, the bio-beauty mask is sought after even by elders and male, not to speak of young women. It was awarded the DPRK invention diploma and special prize and first prize at national public presentations of science and technology and exhibitions in the biological field.

Displayed at the Northeast Asia Ultra Modern Technology Expo held in China in September, Juche 96 (2007) and at an international trade fair in Pyongyang, it drew keen interests of visitors and its mysterious efficacy became widely known to the world to increase the demand for it.

Pak Kyong Hui, 29, working at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, said she had been annoyed by pimples for 11 years, but the beauty masks made her face clean and white so much that others could hardly recognize her.
