Kim and his party were greeted at the airport by Vice-President of Zimbabwe Joyce Teurai Ropa Mujuru, Prime Minister Morgan Richard Tsvangirai, vice-prime ministers Arthur Guseni Mutambara and Thokozani Khupe, Foreign Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi and Minister of Industry and Commerce Welshman Ncube and diplomatic envoys of different countries there.

A welcome ceremony for Kim Yong Nam took place at the airport.
