Lee Myung Bak Group's Suppression of Pro-Reunification Patriotic Forces Flailed
Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors jabbered that it would offer "government subsidies" to civic and public organizations only when they swear to "abide by the law" that they had never participated in the "illegal" demonstrations in the past and will not take part in them in the future, too.

The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea said in its information bulletin No. 948 issued on Saturday:

The pressure put by the group upon those organizations to make "a written oath to abide by the law" under the pretext of "government subsidies" is aimed to build a fascist dictatorial system as it is a base move to placate those organizations incurring its displeasure with the promise to offer money and abridge and stamp out the freedom of their activities.

Accusing the group of mobilizing right-wing gangsters to crack down on the progressive forces of the pro-reunification movement, the bulletin continued:

It has recently let such wicked conservative gangster-like organizations as the "patriotic mobile corps" made up of those possessed of martial arts who once earned ill fame in the puppet marine corps and the special warfare command physically fight against progressive forces.

The reality clearly proves once again that to what base and desperate methods the group is resorting to suppress the righteous struggle of the south Korean people for independence, democracy and reunification, weaken their forces and build its dictatorial system.

The Lee group is working hard to get rid of its serious ruling crisis by hatching plots and employing various methods of suppression as it is driven into a tight corner after being rejected by the people's mindset due to its heinous sycophantic and treacherous acts and dictatorial rule enforced under the pretext of "pragmatism" and anti-reunification moves. This is, however, nothing but the last-ditch efforts of the doomed.

The group would be well advised to stop at once its foolish acts, clearly understanding that with neither plots nor intrigues can it hold in check the struggle of the south Korean people for new independent politics, a new life.
