UNSC's Anti-DPRK Steps Flayed
Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- Chairman Manzurla Ahsan Khan and General Secretary Mujahidul Islam Selim of the C.C., Bangladesh Communist Party issued a joint statement on May 1, which said that the Bangladesh Communist Party scathingly denounces the UNSC for having adopted an anti-DPRK "presidential statement" in pursuance of the U.S. moves over the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes and then designated its three companies as targets of sanctions.

The party has already expressed apprehension that the UNSC's sanctions against the DPRK would result in the breach of the spirit of the six-way talks, the statement said, adding that it regards the sanctions as part of the moves of the U.S. administration which does not truly want peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the Asia-Pacific region but seeks to ignite a new war.

The party strongly demands that the United Nations deal with the international issues, proceeding from the independent and fair stand and drop at once the hostile policy toward the Korean people, the statement said.

It urged the UNSC to make a total apology for having adopted the decision of seriously violating the DPRK's sovereignty.
