Our socialism is great socialism and it is invincible socialism under which the entire army and all the people are single-mindedly united around the headquarters of the revolution and it is powerful socialism with matchless military muscle capable of firmly defending the sovereignty of the country and the nation.

The Songun idea is shedding its rays as guidelines for the revolution which remarkably enriched the treasure-house of the Juche idea and an all-powerful treasured sword for the victorious advance of socialism as it meets the requirements of the times when the role of an army is regarded more important than ever and the developing revolution.

The DPRK has its own state structural system with the National Defence Commission as its mainstay, matchless and invincible revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu, self-supporting and modern national defence industry, steel-like great army-people unity and others. All these icons of the dignity and might of our socialism would be unthinkable without the vitality of the Songun idea.

The single-minded unity of the entire army and all the people around the headquarters of the revolution serves as powerful driving force guaranteeing the triumphant advance of socialism of Korean style. The slogan "Let us defend with our very lives the leadership of revolution headed by the great Comrade Kim Jong Il!" is enshrined by them as unshakable faith.

The U.S.-led imperialists are running the whole gamut of despicable means to stifle our socialist system even by abusing the world body. This is, however, a foolish attempt.

Socialism in the DPRK will always remain an impregnable fortress as it has the military muscle powerful enough to frustrate at a single stroke the imperialists' strategy of strength and their move for aggression, concludes the article.
