He first visited the statue of President Kim Il Sung standing at the university. Then he went round the monument to the on-the-spot guidance given by the President, the room for the education in his revolutionary activities and the room devoted to the history of the university, conducted by its rector.

Recollecting with deep emotion the shining history of the university, he said that thanks to the outstanding military idea and wise leadership of the President the KPA could develop into ever-victorious and matchless ranks. The immortal exploits performed by the President are brilliantly recorded in the history of the KPA.

Then he looked round military study rooms to learn in detail about the education.

He was pleased to learn that the university has manufactured a variety of visual facilities and equipment for experiment and practice and conducted effective education in principles and actions so that all its students might firmly arm themselves with the Juche-oriented war methods of the WPK.

He stressed that in order to train the students into able commanding officers equipped with rich military knowledge and commanding ability it is necessary to strengthen the practical education and education with the help of visual aids, steadily improve the contents of education and further increase the role of teachers as required by the developing reality.

Then, he looked round the interior and exterior of the university and highly praised it for having effectively conducted the diverse political work for strengthening the revolutionary education and class education among its students and planted a lot of trees in and around the campus to suit the educational environment. He underscored the need for the military educational institutions to take the lead in implementing the WPK's line and policies.

He highly appreciated the feats performed by the teaching staff of the university, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that they have successfully spruced up the university in an educational and cultured manner and made successes by devoting all their wisdom and enthusiasm to training hardcore officers of the Korean People's Army true to the WPK's military line in the past. He set forth important tasks to be fulfilled by the university.

He was accompanied by Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, Jang Song Thaek, department director of the C.C., the WPK who is member of the NDC of the DPRK, and KPA General Ri Myong Su and other commanding officers of the KPA.
